Exchange Bursaries

The Global Innovation Partnership offers travel bursaries for postgraduate student and young researcher exchanges to enable sampling trips and short research visits to the field sites and facilities of consortia partners. These bursaries will be awarded based on merit of the applications.


Application procedures

To apply for a travel bursary, fill out the application form in consultation with your supervisors at the sending and host institution. Applications must be submitted at least two months ahead of the intended visit by emailing the completed form to Decisions will be made within 30 days upon receipt of the applications. Incomplete application forms will not be considered.


Successful applicants

Successful applicants must complete a travel risk assessment and ethical project assessment before their departure with the help of their supervisors at the sending and host institution. Successful applicants are required to provide a news item and photos from their completed trip for the partnership website within 30 days. All research outcomes need to acknowledge the funding received.
